For starters, it's not bad. There weren't any scenes or arcs that made me want to put the story down, and there are no striking flaws that would keep me from recommending it to a moege fan. For that reason, I'll begin by talking about the things I enjoyed about it:-Right off the bat, I was charmed by the obviously dated menu, UI, and soundtrack. It reminded me specifically of the N64, which was a pleasant surprise. I nearly lost it when I saw the "advance text" icon was a tiny, spinning, 3D sprite of a cat. -I like the character and background art. You can see it for yourself on its main page. Like the rest of the VN, it's nothing particularly special, but I found the designs to be nice enough to list as a pro.-Nuance? Subtlety? I'm not sure what to call this facet of Da Capo's storytelling that impressed me. Some of my favorite titles--Higurashi and Muv Luv, namely--could learn a thing or two about leaving things unsaid. Da Capo is about interpersonal relations, so the more you pay attention to how the characters interact, the more you're going to take away. I appreciated its ability to show instead of tell what the heroines and, perhaps more surprisingly, the protagonist, were thinking.
